> We conduct wilderness patrols--hiking the trails of this section of the Sierra Nevada, giving advice to hikers, checking permits, and generally establishing a presence on the trails.

> We issue wilderness permits out of the Carson Pass Wilderness station.

> We educate visitors on wilderness ethics, regulations & Leave No Trace Principles--at the trailheads, in the wilderness, and at the Carson Pass permit station.

> We inform visitors of trail conditions and hazards

> We perform trail maintenance and construction in the Mokelumne Wilderness--always with hand tools because mechanized equipment is not allowed.

> We assist in wilderness training & education events, from first aid and trail safety to Leave No Trace.

> We conduct wilderness impact monitoring surveys, helping the USFS get a better idea of how many people are using the trails and accessing key destinations.

>  We restore impacted sites throughout the wilderness, always using hand tools.
